Notas:
Se puede omitir el bus e ir a pie desde el pueblo de Aguas Calientes, pero llegaran cansados y con menos tiempo para explorar el santuario.
Si quieren ahorrar el pasaje o aprovechar de un paseo a pie lo mejor es hacerlo a la bajada.
El primer bus de ascenso sale a las 5:30 am. (Machu Picchu abre a las 6:00am. y cierra a las 6pm.)

Los Jardines de Mandor
Creado a la iniciativa de un habitante de Machu Picchu, estos jardines son una linda oportunidad de conocer la flora y fauna del santuario nacionalde Machu Picchu. Notamente se ven cantidades de picaflores.

Los jardines de Mandor se encuentran a una hora de Aguas Calientes siguiendo el ferrocaril en dirección de Santa Teresa. El paseo a traves del bosque humedo es hesmoso.

Huchuy Qosqo 1Day Trek

A fantastic full day hike in the surroundings of Cusco, departing close from Chinchero, following through a mountain pass and finally reaching Huchuy Qosqo, an ancient Inca archaeological site perched on a cliff with stunning views over the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Itinerary

We leave Cusco at 6:30am in a private transport that takes us to Tambomachay arqueological site that is the starting point of our trek. We start hiking uphill amidst a beautiful mountain scenery with presence of llamas, alpacas and lovely views of the Qoricocha Queollacocha and Piuray Lagoons until we reach the only mountain pass of this program at 4300m.as.l. We then start descending along a restored Inca Trail for an approximated 1h towards the small Andean community of Pukamarca (4010m/13153ft). From there, we walk downhill towards the Leon Punku ravine, where we find remains of an Inca bridge and trail. This canyon boasts geological formations surrounded by majestic rocks and boulders that direct the river to Huchuy Qosqo at 3600m/11808ft, where we arrive by early afternoon. Huchuy Qosqo is an Inca archaeological complex with imposing architecture that includes a large open ceremonial center, from which we enjoy a panoramic view of the Sacred Valley, the Vilcanota River, and the snowcapped mountain range of the same name. While in the complex, we receive a guided tour, after which we continue our way to Lamay at 3000m/9840ft. Lamay is a town dedicated to agriculture and cattle raising. Later in the afternoon, our private transport drives us back to Cusco. Estimated arrival time in the late evening around.

 ITINERARY:

We will pick you up from the hotel in Cusco at 1:30 pm., having with us a professional guide. First he will present the Cathedral (build in a Baroque style and having paintings of the Cusqueña school) and the temple of Qoricancha, more known as the gold covered temple (A place which we will appreciate in all its enchantment, the temple of the Thunderclap, Ray, Lightning, Rainbow, Stars and the temple of Santo Domingo).

Then we will visit the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, situated on a mountain overlooking Cusco. Sacsayhuaman, is a huge, stunning site which holds the great house of the Sun. Its megalithic, zigzag stone walls were pieced together with amazing skill.

Following we will set course to Qenqo

, also known as the Labyrinth. This temple dedicated to Mother Earth is a unique center of celebrations and astronomical studies. It has numerous ceremonial carvings, holes and canals cut into the rock. One of its features is a semi-natural underground 
chamber. Later on we’ll visit Pucapucara archeological site and follow the way we will go to the archeological site of Tambomachay. Tambomachay might have fulfilled an important altar function linked to water and the regeneration of the land and closely linked with Pucapucara. The area covers about one hectare, and was made out of polygonal shaped set limestone.

We will return to Cusco, arriving at 19:00 one block away of Main Square

TOUR SALT MINES OF MARAS AND MORAY HALF DAY

ITENERARY:

We will pick up from your hotel in Cusco at 8:50 a.m. and in our bus to start our tour following different locations like:

Maras: Its important occupation began when the cusqueños noble of the Inkario were undressed of their palaces in the Qosqo and had to leave to settle down in other small towns like Maras.

Moray: It is unique archaeological group in his sort in the region.
